Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui – A Blend of Comfort and Convenience

When it comes to visiting Hong Kong, location is everything. The vibrant cityscape, iconic landmarks, and bustling streets make for an unforgettable experience—if you know where to stay. Enter the Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui, a property that combines convenience, comfort, and value for a well-rounded experience. Here’s my take on why this spot earns its solid 4/5 stars, and a Redemption Value 3/3.

The Pros: Where This Hotel Shines

  1. Location, Location, Location
Nestled in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, this hotel is a traveler’s dream. Being steps away from the MTR lines and the Ferry makes it a cinch to explore all corners of Hong Kong. Whether you’re headed to Central, Causeway Bay, or Mong Kok, you’ll be hopping on and off like a local in no time.

The cherry on top? The Hyatt Regency is connected to the K11 Artmall, an upscale shopping haven with underground walkways that lead to Victoria Harbour and Avenue of Stars. Between the food courts, cafes, and artistic vibes, you’re spoiled for choice without ever stepping foot outside.

  2. Rooms with a View
There’s something magical about waking up to panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, and this hotel delivers. High-floor rooms offer stunning vistas and are impeccably clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious, the beds luxurious, and the thoughtful touches—like power adapters—make all the difference. Bonus points for the fast elevators, which save you from dreaded waits.

  3. Point Redemption Perfection
If you’re a Hyatt loyalist, this property is a Category 3 gem. That means free night certificates and low-point redemptions are an excellent way to maximize your stay. Given the hotel’s premium location, redeeming points here feels like a steal.

The Cons: A Few Minor Setbacks

  1. Old-School Charm
The Regency brand often leans into a classic aesthetic, which some may find a bit dated. However, the friendly staff—despite a rocky start—quickly make up for it.

  2. Mall Mayhem
While the K11 Artmall is a fantastic convenience, it does mean the area can get crowded and hectic. Navigating specific Uber pickup points can be tricky, especially during peak hours.

  3. Cash Rate Caution
Because of its prime location and amenities, the cash rates can be steep. If you’re planning to pay out of pocket, you might find better value elsewhere. But if you’re redeeming points or certificates, the deal is hard to beat.

The Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui is a stellar option for those who prioritize location, convenience, and comfort. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned Hong Kong traveler, this property ticks many boxes. Sure, it has a few quirks, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.

So, is it worth it? Absolutely—especially if you can snag a redemption deal. Your Hong Kong adventure will be off to a smooth start with this hotel as your home base.

Hyatt Place Kyoto | A Free Night Certificate Hotel Review

Are you interested in getting a complimentary annual night certificate at a fantastic Hyatt? The World of Hyatt Credit Card by Chase can help you access amazing global adventures. Although there's a $95 annual fee, the cool part is that the certificate practically covers the fee. Plus, there are zero foreign transaction fees!

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place in Kyoto. It was a treat! This newly opened gem in 2021 is a great addition to the historic town. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean. While they no longer offer complimentary breakfast, they do provide unlimited Nespresso coffee. One of my personal highlights was the charming School Bus Coffee Shop right there, attached to the hotel!

Honestly, my free certificate covered the annual fee in just one night. Exploring Kyoto's history-packed streets is no joke, and having the Hyatt Place as my retreat was super convenient.
