Four Seasons Hotel Seoul: Centrally Located with Exceptional Service & Buffet
The Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, centrally located in the heart of Seoul with nearby attractions and Michelin-rated restaurants, you really can’t beat this spot.
I booked our King Bed room via The Edit collection with Chase Travel. Nightly rates vary, but it’s definitely on the higher end, and I paid $719 for one night. The beauty of booking through the Chase portal is you can redeem Ultimate Rewards points. I got a nice 1.65x bonus with Points Boost rather than the standard 1.5x redemption, bringing the final cost to 43,580 points for this stay. Plus, if you hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can apply your $250 Edit credit toward a hotel booking on two-night stays, if paying cash. Booking through The Edit also scores you free daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, a potential room upgrade, and early check-in or late check-out.
Location-wise, this property is unbeatable. It’s a quick 5-minute walk from Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Cheonggyecheon River, and major subway lines. I easily walked over from Line 5 and arrived around 1 p.m. to catch early check-in. The front desk staff greeted me with exceptional service and walked through all the benefits thoroughly. They converted the $100 property credit to KRW 150,000 at check-in, which works for room service, the spa, and all their restaurants and bars.
Our King Room was on the 10th floor. While it wasn't a Palace view, it overlooked the mountains, which was super relaxing. The room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated in classic Four Seasons style, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and an in-room tablet by the bed to control the setup. The bathroom was equally impressive with a bidet toilet, dual-sink vanity, and a walk-in shower loaded with both rainfall and body spray options. You'll sleep like a baby after a full day of walking.
For our $100 credit, we opted for late-night room service. When in Korea, you have to go with chimaek—Korean fried chicken and beer, plus a tiramisu for dessert! I ordered directly from the tablet and it arrived in about 40 minutes. The chicken was extra crispy without a heavy batter, served with salt, pepper, yangnyeom, and sweet chili sauce. The total hit right around the KRW 150,000 mark after delivery fees.
Breakfast at The Market Kitchen in the basement was easily the highlight of the stay. It’s one of the largest, most luxurious buffets in Seoul, featuring traditional Korean, Western, and Japanese stations. Everything is freshly prepared, complete with fresh fruit, sushi, omelette station, a massive pastry section, pancakes, waffles, and even a chocolate fountain. If you don't have it included, breakfast runs KRW 83,600 for adults and KRW 41,800 for kids. It gets packed around 9 a.m., so head down early before they wrap up at 10:30 a.m.
Overall, the room, food, and service were top-tier. You could book directly to save about $100 on the cash rate, but once you factor in free breakfast for two, the property credit, and room perks, booking through Chase Travel is the far better value—especially if you're redeeming points!
